Full-Time Staff: Business Office Account Executive
Central Penn College is seeking a detail oriented individual to join its Business Office team. Reponsibilities include:
Accounts payable
- Process invoices after ensuring purchase orders, appropriate documentation and authorizations are complete.
- Reconcile monthly other payable accounts .
- Enter monthly general ledger adjustments.
- Serve as principal contact for external vendors.
- Process 1099’s annually.
- Maintain, update and follow identified policy and procedures.
Payroll and Benefits
- Process biweekly payroll for full and part time employees and contract employees.
- Maintain human resource records for 250+ employees including time off and payroll deductions and including processing W-2 forms annually.
- Process journal entries to record bi-weekly payroll and record monthly accruals.
- Reconcile monthly all related accrual and expense accounts.
- Identify and report other taxable compensation transactions.
- Administer employee benefits including coordinating open enrollment presentations and communications with external vendors.
- Maintain, update and follow identified policy and procedures.
Fixed Assets and Prepaid Expenses
- Update fixed asset system monthly for disposals and additions.
- Process journal entries to record monthly transactions.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to supporting schedules.
- Identify prepaid expenses and record monthly adjustments.
- Maintain, update and follow identified policy and procedures.
The successful candidate will:
- Be detail oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Work effectively within a fast-paced team and be independently motivated with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated strong computer skills and ease with Excel.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- A minimum of five years experience in the field, including payroll experience.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and post journal entries for all internal charges, accruals and deferrals.
- Ability to read and interpret financial statements relating to assigned responsibilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to relate to a varying degree of individuals from high level administrators to students.
- Demonstrated ability to think, plan and execute key assignments including handling multiple projects in a fast paced environment while maintaining organized electronic and paper files.

Central Penn College invites applications for multiple part time positions to teach evening courses in accounting and business administration in our Hazleton, Sunbury, Pottsville and Dickson City locations. Courses will be upper undergraduate level concentrating in areas of: accounting, business, management, marketing and organizational development.
