Program Chair - Accounting

What would you say is the most rewarding thing about teaching "You Can. You Will." students at Central Penn?

I particularly enjoy the day-to-day interaction I have with my students. They often comment that I make myself accessible to them and that I go out of my way to explain and help them understand complex accounting concepts. My greatest pleasure as a professor of accounting is watching my students master accounting concepts and observing as they put the concepts into practice in our many hands-on projects.

What is your favorite Central Penn memory?

Gradaution each year. I love seeing students who are prepared to tackle the future walk across the stage.

What is the biggest challenge facing students going into the field of Accounting? How can students prepare to face this challenge?

The biggest challenge for accounting majors is to understand the time it takes to to comprehend difficult accounting theory. While learning these theories won't happen overnight, when it does happen you will be prepared to face the future!

What makes Central Penn different from other colleges?

You will never be just a number at Central Penn, the size of the school allows faculty to get to know their students personally.
