Faculty Who Care
Susan Corby
Program Director - Occupational Therapy Assistant
What would you say is the most rewarding thing about teaching "You Can. You Will." students at Central Penn?
I really enjoy interacting one on one with students, encouraging them to build on their own personal strengths and motivation to succeed in their chosen career paths. I like to challenge students to think on their feet and apply the knowledge to clinical or "real world" experiences.
What is your favorite Central Penn memory?
I've only been at Central Penn for a short time, so I haven't really had much time to form many memories. I was impressed with the appearance of the campus and the students when I interviewed, and with the friendly and supportive work environment I've encountered since started working here a few months ago.
While teaching at Central Penn, what has been your biggest personal accomplishment?
Thus far I would have to say completing and submitting the initial Occupational Therapy Assistant Program to the accrediting bodies with the help of administration, Academic Affairs, and my co-workers in the Allied health Programs. It was a huge team effort and tremendous accomplishment!
What makes Central Penn different from other colleges?
