Graduation Rates
Central Pennsylvania College provides the following information regarding our graduation/completion and transfer out rates. This information is provided in compliance with the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended. The rates reflect the graduation, completion and transfer out status of students who enrolled during fall 2000 and for whom 150% of the normal time-to-completion has elapsed.
During fall 2000, 315 first time, full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate students entered Central Pennsylvania College. As of August 31, 2006, 55% of these students had graduated from our institution, completed their programs within three years of their initial enrollment date or moved to and finished a baccalaureate program. The IPEDS calculated four year average graduation rate for Central Penn is 61%.
Institutions are only required to maintain transfer out statistics when its programs are established to prepare students to transfer to other institutions of higher education. Central Pennsylvania College’s programs are designed to provide students with a degree, not to transfer to another institution.
Questions concerning this report should be directed to Bill Gray, Director of Information Resources at 717.728.2511.
While reviewing this information, please bear in mind:
- Though as a baccalaureate institution we conform to an IPEDS six-year reporting cycle, Central Pennsylvania College enrolled its first class of bachelor degree seeking students in 2001.
- The above statistic reflects only associate degree cohort completion.
- As reported for IPEDS, Central Penn’s associate-level graduation rates are based on three years of attendance. This equates to 150% of a two-year associate program from the time the cohort began. Central Penn’s associate programs are 18 months.
