College in High School

Open the door to success . . .

The College in High School program is designed to encourage all students that post-secondary success can be theirs. It is not only for the extra-ordinary student, but also for the clever high school student who is more capable then they might realize. This program opens doors for so many students whether it be setting a bar for them for the first time, giving an opportunity to low income families who might not otherwise be able to take that first financial step towards a post-secondary education, or to arm those students who know what direction they wish to travel - with the right road map to achieve their goals.

The College in High School program falls under the umbrella of Governor Rendell’s Project 720. Project 720, which received its name after consideration of how many days a student will spend in high school from the first day of their freshman year to their high school graduation, was signed into action in 2005. The overall goal of this multi-faceted initiative is to create a more rigorous environment along with a more challenging curriculum thus creating a more seamless post-secondary transition.
