Immersion (Study Abroad) Program

Students have the unique opportunity to travel the globe while earning academic credits with Central Penn's Immersion Program. Previous destinations have included:

Stonehenge

  • Australia
  • England
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • Scotland

A College faculty member accompanies students and teaches a 9-credit cultural immersion course during the semester. Students also are taught a 3-credit course in their chosen field of study. Learn about a country's history, cuisine and culture during each unique educational journey.

Central Pennsylvania College 2010 Immersion Program Details

Where:    CROATIA

When:     Fall Term for 6-7 weeks starting September 28, 2010

How Much: Pay normal Fall Term tuition, student fee, housing, meals, and utilities as if you were taking classes on campus. You can get financial aid just as if you were attending class on campus. In addition you pay airfare and insurance.

Academic Credit: You will get up to 15 credits in humanities, social sciences or math, science and technology electives.

How to qualify:
1) Fill out an application. You can get an application in the Academic Affairs office (ATEC 201) or from Professor Davison. Submit the completed application to the Academic Affairs office.

2) When you submit your application, schedule an interview with Dean Andersen in the Academic Affairs Office.
 
3) Deposit $100 to the Business Office before June 1. If you do not go on the trip, the $100 will be refunded. If you go on the trip, it will be applied as tuition.
    
4) Attend Immersion Program meetings.
