Transfer College Credit to Central Penn!

At Central Penn, we think our transfer process is fast, smooth and convenient for graduates of community colleges and other 2-year institutions.

Central Penn is focused on providing a seamless transfer of credits into its various academic programs. Students completing their associate or specialized associate degrees from the above institutions are eligible to participate within the parameters of the transfer agreements.

Transfer Agreement Principles:

  • The agreements only apply to students who have completed a degree from the sending institution with a 2.5 GPA or above.
  • Students wishing to transfer without a degree may choose do so, however, will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
  • Central Penn follows a rolling admissions policy. Application deadline is 10 days prior to the start of the term.
  • Students transferring to Central Pennsylvania College must complete the application and interview process with an admissions counselor.
  • 0-level courses do not count toward graduation and will not transfer.
    A maximum of 62 credits will be transferred from any institution or combination of institutions.
  • Courses with a grade of “C” or better are applicable for transfer. Pass/Fail courses are not applicable for transfer.
  • Central Penn utilizes a course-by-course match to identify remaining coursework for students.
  • Students desiring to enroll at the Lancaster Center must transfer a minimum of 24 credits.

Transfer Student Scholarship

If you are a transfer student, you can receive a $1500 scholarship ($500 per term up to $1500) to continue your education at Central Penn. You are eligible for this scholarship if you have completed at least 30 credits from another accredited institution and if you enroll at Central Penn as a full-time, day student. You must submit the Transfer Scholarship application prior to the start of your term of enrollment.
