Full Time Staff - Enrollment Events Specialist, Marketing Services

This position is a member of Central Penn's Marketing Services Department, which works in conjunction with the Admissions team to inspire and motivate high school age students to attend Central Penn. This unique position enjoys dual responsibilities of building external customer relationships and managing multi-faceted projects. Position is located at our Summerdale, PA campus.

Under the direction of the Enrollment Services Coordinator, this position's responsibilities include:

  • Development of strategies and presentations to stimulate interest in Central Penn's unique culture and professional approach to the academic environment and student life. 
  • Facilitation of events on and off campus, including but not limited to networking and open house enrollment events
  • Engage faculty in order to incorporate unique features of their programs into planning 
  • Conduct presentations to large groups at campus events.
  • Assist with maintenance of contact relations management system including maintenance of communications plan.


Position requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, or related fields.
  • Highly proficient using Microsoft Office, website design and database management
  • Demonstrated strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to think, plan and execute strategically. 
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to relate to varying degree of individual from high level administrators to high school students.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain organized electronic and paper files

Full Time Staff - Enrollment Counselor, Continuing Education

Do you enjoy speaking with a variety of people? Are you able to paint a picture with words alone? Do your friends describe you as persistent, yet friendly? Can you juggle multiple tasks and remain organized? If so, then Central Penn College is looking for you to join our Enrollment team as a full time Counselor.

An enrollment Counselor is responsible for contributing to Central Penn College's approach of providing an education that eliminates boundaries, opens new horizons, and turns potential into career success.

Duties include:

  • Knowledge of Central Penn College programs, features, locations - with the ability to clearly communicate information in a professional and consistent manner
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective students within 24 hours
  • Interact with and assist potential students through the enrollment process, including arranging campus visits, requests for records
  • Attend on-campus and off campus events, including networking and open house enrollment events. 
  • Interact with the College's personnel, (i.e., faculty, Deans, support staff, administrative staff) as required


Ideal candidate will possess:

  • Background in college recruitment and enrollment, specifically non-traditional and adult education programs
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain organized electronic and paper files 
  • Ability to think, plan and execute strategically. 
  • A sales or marketing background is preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service orientation


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
  • 2-3 years of progressive experience in a business environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment
  • Willingness to work evening hours and travel on occasion.

Part Time Staff - Librarian

The Charles "T." Jones Leadership Library at Central Penn College is inviting applications for a part-time evening librarian.

Primary duties include:

  • Supervising student workers
  • Providing reference and instruction live and online
  • Processing of serials and inter-library loans


Position Requirements:

  • Masters of Library Science (MLS) or Masters of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited institution preferred
  • Candidates near completing such degree programs will be considered
  • Some experience supervising other people
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Part Time Faculty - Allied Health, Medical Assisting

Central Penn College invites applications for a part-time teaching opening for the Allied Health Procedures course in the Associate Degree Medical Assisting program during the evening at our Summerdale, PA (Harrisburg) location during the spring term beginning April 9, 2012.

This course provides students with an overview of basic health procedures. Emphasis is placed on developing therapeutic communication in the clinical setting, components of a medical record and principles of medical documentation.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and relevant industry experience including appropriate licensures (Certified Medical Assisting, RN, etc). Prior teaching experience a plus but not required.
