Mission Statement

The mission of the Central Penn College Public Safety Department is to contribute toward the quality of campus life by fostering a safe and secure environment. The department is committed to helping preserve an environment where social, cultural and academic values are allowed to flourish and prosper.

The Central Penn College Public Safety Department will actively participate in a partnership with the campus community, a partnership built upon trust and respect between the local law enforcement and the diverse campus community population. Creating a safe and secure environment is therefore considered the responsibility of the entire campus community. The Central Penn College Public Safety Department must encourage a sense of communal concern for each other's safety and pledge respect for the needs and rights of the campus community.

Your Right to Know

Your personal safety and the security of the campus community are of vital concern to Central Penn College. A copy of the most recent Cleary report, the College's annual crime report, is available here.

This report includes statistics for the most recent three-year period concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus in Summerdale, at Central Penn Lancaster and Central Penn Lehigh Valley locations, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Central Penn College or affiliates, and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus. The report also includes information regarding the law enforcement authority of the Colleges' security department; policies concerning campus security, such as crime prevention, alcohol and drug use, sexual assault, state sex offender registry, and the reporting of any crimes that may occur on the campus.
