Central Pennsylvania College

Articulation Agreements

What is articulation?

Students from identified high schools and other accredited two-year and four-year institutions can gain credit so as not to duplicate coursework.

Central Penn recognizes the important role that transfer credits play in a student's decision to continue their education. Students transferring from accredited post-secondary institutions can transfer up to 62 credits. Students from high schools with articulation agreements can transfer up to 12 credits. All credits that are transferred are applied to a student's program of study and students are provided with an evaluation of what is needed to complete their degree requirements. For more information about how to transfer credits please ask your high school guidance counselor, college transfer office, or any admissions counselor at Central Penn for details.

How will I benefit?

  • Transition smoothly into a Central Penn degree program
  • You will not be required to take college courses that are similar to courses completed in high school or at another accredited college.
  • You will save time and pay less tuition.

What are my options?

  • You may enroll in a program with fewer college courses required for completion so you may begin your career sooner.
  • Or, you may add elective courses that provide for greater career preparation.
