Transfer Students
Where can you go from here?

You deserve credit for pursuing your education and reaching your goals. At Central Penn, our transfer process is fast, seamless and simple for graduates of community colleges and other two-year institutions. Students completing their associate or specialized associate degrees from the institutions below are eligible to participate. Wherever you begin your education, finishing it with a degree from Central Penn is a valuable advantage.
Students from identified high schools and other accredited two-year and four-year institutions can apply up to 62 of their credits to a Central Penn bachelor's degree and up to 50% of credits for an associate degree. PTA transfer students can a maximum of 36 credits. Students from high schools with articulation agreements can transfer up to 12 credits. Zero level courses do not count toward graduation and will not transfer.
Students are provided with an evaluation of what is needed to complete their degree requirements. Central Penn College does not accept credits from institutions that do not hold accreditation.

Transfer Agreement Principles
- The agreements only apply to students who have completed a
degree from the sending institution with a 2.0 GPA or above.
- Students wishing to transfer without a degree may choose do so,
however, each will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- Central Penn follows a rolling admissions policy. Application
deadline is 15 days prior to the start of the term.
- Students transferring to Central Penn College must complete the
application and interview process with an admissions
counselor.
- 0-level courses do not count toward graduation and will not
transfer.
A maximum of 62 credits will be transferred from any institution
or combination of institutions.
- Courses with a grade of "C" or better are applicable for
transfer. Pass/Fail courses are not applicable for transfer.
- Central Penn utilizes a course-by-course match to identify
remaining coursework for students.
Transfer Student Scholarship
Transfer Student Scholarships are available to
full-time day students who have completed at least 30 academic
credits at another accredited institution. Scholarship recipients
will be awarded $1,000 to be applied to their first three terms of
tuition. Transfer Student Scholarships are awarded to all
qualifying student applicants. Additional scholarship
opportunities are available for qualified part-time adult
learners.
