About the Center:

What services are provided by the center?

  • Full-time and part-time child care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years
  • Kindergarten wrap-around
  • Before and after school care for K-6
  • Summer Explorers/Camp program for children ages 6 to 12 years
  • Breakfast, a hot lunch, and snack every day
  • Developmentally appropriate curriculum established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children
  • Transportation to and from East Pennsboro schools

What are the staff qualifications?

  • All staff members meet and exceed the minimum requirements as set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare.
  • Most staff members have two- or four-year degrees in Early Childhood Education or a similar field.

What is the Summer Explorers Camp?

  • The camp is open to children ages 6 to 12 years.
  • The camp consists of swimming, arts, and crafts, days at YW Camp Reily and field trips.
  • The camp is licensed by the Department of Public Welfare.

What's so neat about Kids on Campus?

  • Everything!
  • This state-of-the-art center offers web cam technology featuring the completely secure KinderView Internet Viewing System.
  • The center is designed to accommodate every child's needs. Bright, colorful, open spaces delight children and parents alike.
  • The center is a Cyber Start site for increased computer access for children ages 3 to 5 years.

Is the center open to everyone?

  • Yes!
  • Kids on Campus is open to all Central Penn students, staff, and faculty as well as the general public. Corporate discounts are available to employees of several local companies.

Is financial assistance available for low income families?

  • Financial assistance is available through the Child Care Network. Call (717) 671-8895 for more information.
