Central Pennsylvania College's intercollegiate athletic programs are designed to meet the needs of student athletes that have a desire to compete in their favorite sports, while staying focused on their career-oriented academics at Central Penn.

Central Penn is a college that focuses on a mission to provide an education that prepares its graduates to obtain employment in their chosen field, continue their education, and be contributing members of society. Athletics help students develop the necessary skills to succeed by developing effective people skills, leadership skills, and enhancing a strong moral character, while establishing life-long patterns of involvement in physical and healthy activities. At Central Penn, sports help build a strong collegiate campus life that reinforces a positive public identity for the college.

Central Penn is a member of the highly competitive Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference (EPCC) of the Pennsylvania Collegiate Athletic Association (PCAA) and competes in Men's, Women's and Intramural Sports. The conference is composed of commonwealth campuses of The Pennsylvania State University system, community colleges and two-year colleges throughout Eastern PA.
