Teaching Philosophy

Never stop learning. The therapy field is ever evolving and keeping up with evidence-based practice is critical for providing patients with the care they need. No matter who or what type of condition you are treating, remember to treat the whole person––not just a part.

Bio

Prior to becoming a physical therapist assistant (PTA), Stephen Campbell spent many years as a sports performance and strength coach. He had the opportunity to work with many high-achieving athletes at the high school, collegiate, professional and Olympic levels. “My experience in that field has helped me tremendously when observing the movements of the patients I treat,” he says. As a PTA, he has held positions at outpatient orthopedic clinics, hospitals and numerous nursing homes. Throughout his professional career, he has been involved in creating protocols for various conditions and post-surgical interventions that lead to consistent outcomes during patient care. He continues to practice in both the hospital and acute care settings.
