Teaching Philosophy
As an instructor, I am here to facilitate the success of my students. When we enter the classroom, we are a team working together toward their success. I believe that education can and should be fun. In addition, I prefer engaging with students rather than simply lecturing. When we all have a conversation, we gain knowledge from each other and we can learn from each other's perspectives. I have always told my students at the end of a term, even if I am no longer their instructor, I am still there for them. I’ve had students reach out to me, as they continued on with their education, for my assistance. I am humbled that I’m able to be part of their academic lives and help them––in any manner that I can––succeed in their lives
Bio
I am a graduate of Central Penn College. My time here inspired me to continue for my MBA and eventually my Ed.D. I have been working with Central Penn since 2008 as an adjunct professor. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and reviewing books for the K-12 crowd, from picture books for younger readers to novels and biographies for older teens. My reviews have appeared in several publications.
