Film Series: “Erin Brockovich”

Join us for the first of four events in the CPC Film Series… the award-winning film, Erin Brockovich. This film from the year 2000 is an award-winning dramatization of the true story of Erin Brockovich (played by Julia Roberts). In the movie, Erin fights against the energy corporation Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) regarding its culpability for the Hinkley, CA groundwater contamination incident.

Tickets are free, but space is limited, so registration is required. 
Refreshments are also be available for purchase at the theatre. 

Each installment of the CPC Film Series features a critical look at a popular film, followed by a screening of the full-length film. Legal Studies Professor, Margaret Stuski, will introduce the film and discuss themes of being an underdog in the legal system and fighting for the environment. 

6:00 PM – Doors Open, so buy your snacks!
6:30 PM – Preface by Professor Margaret Stuski
7:00 PM – Film Starts (130-minute runtime) 

*All participants are required to wear masks, and must complete a pre-screening form 24-48 hours prior to visiting campus. centralpenn.edu/screening.
