Light Up the Knights 2022 Homecoming Kicks Off at Central Penn College
Central Penn College has been part of the Central Pennsylvania region for 141 years. This weekend the career-focused college welcomes alumni and community members back to campus as part of a three-day celebration themed “Light Up the Knights.” Many events are free and open to the public. Paid events still have tickets available for purchase.
Celebrations began on campus Friday morning with free pancakes for all students on campus made by faculty and staff. After classes end today, students, alumni, faculty, staff, and alumni will head to Skyline Sports Complex on City Island to watch the first ever Central Penn Knights Men’s Soccer Homecoming game under the lights at the former home of the City Islanders located behind FNB Field. Tickets to the game are free and can be secured here. The Knights (5-7) take on Allegany College of Maryland (4-7-1).
Cumberland Valley junior Amanda Bevenour will sing the national anthem prior to kickoff at 7:00 p.m.
The Central Penn College Alumni Association is hosting a happy hour at 5:30 pm at the Harrisburg Beach Club on City Island prior to the game. Alumni will be recognized from the stands during halftime.
On Saturday, the campus will host an open house for prospective students, its annual Fall Harvest with free fun for families and over 100 local food and craft vendors. At 3:30 pm a Burgers & Brews festival kicks off with a three-band concert presented by Members 1st Federal Credit Union. The three musical acts are Brett Alexander of the Badlees, the Martini Brothers, and Plunder & Lightning.
Four gourmet half-pound burgers will be on sale for $10 each. A meal deal of $15 includes soda and chips with the burger purchase. Also for sale will be fresh french fries and beer from a local brewer for purchase for those over 21 years of age.

10:00 AM – 8:00 PM Alumni Tent on Campus – CPC alumni should stop by to complete a “Let us Know” card and receive lots of free gifts and goodies
3:30 PM – 8:30 PM Burgers & Brews Festival @ Central Penn College, featuring three live musical acts, four gourmet burgers for purchase, french fries, and lots of dancing. TICKETS REQUIRED
