Central Penn College Men’s Soccer Caps a Strong Season with National Tournament Win

The 2025–26 campaign was a standout season for the Central Penn College Knights men’s soccer team, marked by steady growth, key conference performances, and an impressive showing on the national stage. This year also represented the program’s second straight appearance in the USCAA Division II National Championship Tournament, reflecting the team’s continued progress and success on the National stage. The Knights finished the regular season ranked #8 in the nation, posting an 8-6-3 overall record and a strong 5-1-2 conference mark.

The Knights made the most of their opportunities. In their opening match on November 14, Central Penn delivered an upset, knocking off No. 2 seed Penn State New Kensington with a thrilling 2–1 victory. The win also served as redemption for a regular-season defeat.

Advancing to the second round, the Knights faced a talented Cincinnati-Clermont squad. Central Penn competed hard but ultimately fell 3–1, ending their postseason run and bringing their season to a close.

Throughout the year, the Knights proved to be a tough, disciplined side—especially at home, where they went 4-1-1. Dominant victories over Williamson Trade (6–2), Paul Smith’s (4–1), and a homecoming shutout of Patrick Henry (1–0) highlighted the regular season, along with several hard-earned draws that showcased the team’s resilience.

With back-to-back national tournament appearances, another national tournament win, and a top-10 national ranking now under their belt, the Knights head into the offseason with momentum and pride. The 2025–26 season was a meaningful step forward—and one that has the program eager for even bigger things next fall.
