And the best part? You can apply now and start classes this Winter Term on January 5.

A Campus Where Gamers Belong
At Central Penn College, gaming isn’t just a pastime—it’s a thriving community.
The Central Penn College Gaming Club brings together students who love connecting, competing, or simply having fun. It’s a welcoming place for all gamers, whether you’re into PC, console, multiplayer, or casual play. Inside the Steve Shoemaker Gaming Center, members enjoy Xbox, PlayStation, PC setups, and an energetic atmosphere where friendships form fast.
Club adviser Donnie Lewis oversees the group, but it’s student-driven at its core—and they’re even seeking a new club president to help lead upcoming events and activities. For students who want to sharpen their leadership skills while doing something they love, this is a perfect opportunity.
Whether you’re competing or cheering on your classmates, it’s always high-energy and high-fun.
A National Championship Esports Program
Just steps from the club’s setup is the home of Central Penn’s rapidly expanding esports program, also led by Lewis—who coaches several of the college’s competitive teams.
And these teams aren’t just active—they’re successful.
- Central Penn’s Rocket League team WON a national championship
- The college also placed Top 4 in the nation for Call of Duty
- Current competitive teams include two Fortnite squads and one Rocket League team
With plans to add teams based on student interest, the program is gearing up for even more growth. Whether you’re dreaming of competitive glory or just eager to train with skilled teammates, there’s a place for you here.
Both residential and online students can join the esports program. Online players can practice from home and only need to be on campus for official competitions—making it easy to balance gameplay with coursework.
