Placement Exam Disclaimer
Central Penn College administers a placement exam to all incoming students. The assessment is a self-adaptive test used to determine placement in Algebra. All new students are required to take a placement exam prior to starting your first term of classes. Transfer students may be exempt from certain aspects of this policy, based on transfer courses. If you AGREE to this policy, you will be completing the placement exam prior to the start of your courses and will make arrangements to complete the exam with your admissions counselor. If you DECLINE and do NOT take the assessment, and thereby understand you will be required to take the introductory three-credit remedial courses, MTH010 Basic Algebra; a pre-requisite for MTH105 College Algebra (pre-requisite for MTH200 Statistics) that may be required as part of your coursework to complete your degree at Central Penn. The College reserves the right to identify or implement additional remedial coursework. If you decline, you understand that the College’s policy regarding the use of placement exam results and have elected to forego the examination and accept placement into any remedial coursework needed for degree completion. v. 12.2.2020
