GET YOUR FSA ID

Your FSA ID is your username and password for your account at StudentAid.gov

Before you can complete the FAFSA, you must set up your account and your information must be verified by the Department of Education. 

It’s easy to set up your account: 

• Go to StudentAid.gov
• Click on “Create Account”
• Complete the form and set up multi-factor authentication using your personal email and/or mobile phone.

TIPS

• Set up your FSA ID soon so you’ll be ready when the 2024-25 FAFSA is available 
• Have your Social Security card with you and make sure you enter your name and Social Security number accurately.
• Both the student AND at least one parent will need an FSA ID 
• The student and parent CANNOT share an FSA ID.
