Central Penn College Celebrates Excellence at 2026 Athletics Awards Banquet
Central Penn College Athletics honored the accomplishments of its student-athletes, coaches, and supporters during the 2026 Athletics Awards Banquet on May 28 in the Conference Center. The annual celebration recognized excellence in competition, academics, leadership, service, and community involvement while reflecting on another memorable year for Knight Nation.
The evening began with a look back at the year through Knight Mentality: Then & Now, a highlight video produced by Central Penn alumnus Dylan Bowman. The video captured the hard work, perseverance, camaraderie, and growth that defined the 2025-26 athletic season and served as a reminder of the strong culture that continues to develop across the department.
A special presentation also recognized student leaders who helped relaunch the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). New committee members included Tyler Haynes (Baseball), Madalyn Brymesser (Women’s Basketball), Dessie Preston (Women’s Basketball), Sam Royer (Baseball), Anthony Cervantes (Men’s Soccer), Honestee Coldsmith (Women’s Soccer), Mark Haye (Men’s Soccer), and Cameron Wilson (Men’s Basketball). Their leadership and commitment to improving the student-athlete experience have helped strengthen the sense of community throughout Knight Nation.

The athletic department also took time to recognize the dedicated student staff members whose work behind the scenes helps ensure the success of athletic events throughout the year. Honorees included Madalyn Brymesser, Arsenio Humphrey, Danasia Morris, Anthony Cervantes, Amani Chinapoo, Icys Carroll, Tanner Boyd, Nic Joseph, Jenna Gateau, Cameron Wilson, Bersy Moundzieho, Dessie Preston, Honestee Coldsmith, and athletic interns Khalil Dukes and Donell Loud.
Conference and national recognition highlighted the success of Central Penn’s student-athletes during the year. Eastern States Athletic Conference (ESAC) All-Conference honors were earned by Nadirah Tutler (Women’s Basketball), Cameron Wilson (Men’s Basketball), Isaac Melendez (Men’s Soccer), Greg Conkle (Men’s Soccer), Gio Fusillo (Men’s Soccer), Blake Eiserman (Men’s Soccer), Alija Korkutovic (Men’s Soccer), Mark Haye (Men’s Soccer), Kayli Davis (Women’s Soccer), Honestee Coldsmith (Women’s Soccer), A’Nia Lalic (Women’s Soccer), Madalyn Brymesser (Women’s Soccer), Tanner McCoy (Baseball), JaMarcus Wilson (Baseball), Jordon McCahan (Baseball), Nic Joseph (Baseball), Gabe Kaufman (Baseball), Cameron Smiley (Baseball), and Anthony Garcia (Baseball). Special conference honors were awarded to Chris Hartman (Men’s Soccer), who was named ESAC Coach of the Year, Chaz Stevens (Baseball), who earned ESAC Coach of the Year honors, and Tanner McCoy (Baseball), who was recognized as ESAC Player of the Year.
Several Knights also earned national recognition from the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). Tanner McCoy (Baseball) was named a First Team All-American, while Isaac Melendez (Men’s Soccer) and Alija Korkutovic (Men’s Soccer) earned Second Team All-American honors. Honorable Mention All-American recognition went to Madalyn Brymesser (Women’s Soccer), A’Nia Lalic (Women’s Soccer), Kayli Davis (Women’s Soccer), Nic Joseph (Baseball), and Gabe Kaufman (Baseball).
Academic achievement was also celebrated as Benjamin Painter (Men’s Soccer), Blake Eiserman (Men’s Soccer), Caleb Johnson (Men’s Soccer), Alan Felipe (Men’s Soccer), Lindsay Childs (Women’s Soccer), Rebecca Rundall (Cross Country), Isaac Calalang (Men’s Basketball), David Thomas (Baseball), Cameron Smiley (Baseball), Nic Joseph (Baseball), Sam Royer (Baseball), Tyler Haynes (Baseball), Tanner Boyd (Baseball), and Tanner McCoy (Baseball) were recognized as USCAA Academic All-Americans for their outstanding work in the classroom.
The banquet also recognized student-athletes who made significant contributions to their individual programs. Rookie of the Year honors were awarded to Gabriel Kearney (Men’s Basketball), Isaac Melendez (Men’s Soccer), Honestee Coldsmith (Women’s Soccer), Icys Carroll (Women’s Basketball), JaMarcus Wilson (Esports), and Jordon McCahan (Baseball). Most Valuable Teammate Awards went to Cameron Wilson (Men’s Basketball), Anthony Cervantes (Men’s Soccer), A’Nia Lalic (Women’s Soccer), Nadirah Tutler (Women’s Basketball), Rebecca Rundall (Cross Country), Sam Royer (Esports), and Tanner McCoy (Baseball).
As the evening moved toward its conclusion, several team awards were presented. The Men’s Basketball team received the 2026 Team Community Service Award for its commitment to serving the community through volunteer work, youth engagement, and campus involvement. The Men’s Soccer team earned the Academic Team of the Year Award after posting a department-leading 3.11 team GPA. The Baseball team received the inaugural Knight Nation Award for its unwavering support of fellow athletic programs and its role in fostering a positive and unified culture throughout the department.
Several special individual awards were also presented. Erika Wilkinson received the Beyond the Game Award from the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for making a meaningful impact beyond athletics. Nic Joseph (Baseball) was honored as the Knightly News Athlete of the Year, an award presented by the Knightly News Media Club. Madalyn Brymesser (Women’s Soccer/Women’s Basketball) was named Athletic Student Staff Member of the Year for her exceptional service and leadership behind the scenes.
The night’s highest individual honors recognized student-athletes who exemplified excellence in every aspect of the collegiate experience. Bersy Moundzieho (Men’s Basketball) was named the 2026 Male Student-Athlete of the Year after excelling athletically, academically, and as a leader within the Central Penn community. Lindsay Childs (Women’s Soccer) earned Female Student-Athlete of the Year honors for her leadership as team captain, academic success as a two-time USCAA Academic All-American, and commitment to serving as a role model for fellow student-athletes.
The final award of the evening went to Chaz Stevens (Baseball), who was named the 2026 Central Penn College Coach of the Year. Stevens was recognized for his leadership, commitment to student-athlete development, and his role in continuing the success and growth of the Knights baseball program.
As another successful season came to a close, the 2026 Athletics Awards Banquet showcased what makes Central Penn Athletics special. From conference champions and All-Americans to community service leaders and academic standouts, the evening celebrated a department committed to excellence both on and off the field. The accomplishments recognized throughout the night reflected the dedication, perseverance, and character that continue to define Knight Nation.
