Central Penn College is headed to the Small College World Series

The Central Penn College Knights baseball team is headed to the national stage.
After completing the most successful season in program history, the Knights have earned the No. 10 seed in the Small College World Series. Central Penn enters the tournament with a 25-6 record, the best mark in college history, and fresh off its fourth consecutive Eastern States Athletic Conference (ESAC) Championship.
This marks the program’s third appearance in the Small College World Series and its second straight trip, continuing a run of sustained excellence for the Knights.
Central Penn will face No. 7 seed Central Maine Community College in the opening round on Monday, May 11 at 10 a.m. in DuBois, Pennsylvania.
The Knights’ historic season has been powered by standout performances on both sides of the ball. The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) has named several Knights as “Players to Watch,” including:
- Tanner McCoy: .518 batting average, 44 hits, 10 doubles, 6 home runs
- Gabe Kaufman: .400 batting average, 32 hits, 6 home runs
- Nic Joseph: .390 batting average, 30 hits, 30 RBIs
- Cameron Smiley: 7-1 record, 3.92 ERA, 39.0 innings pitched, 45 strikeouts
Central Penn will take on a strong Central Maine Community College team that enters the tournament as the No. 7 seed with a 26-8 record. The Mustangs are making their fifth appearance in the Small College World Series and are coming off their first-ever tournament win last season.
First pitch is set for 10 a.m. on May 11 as the Knights look to continue their historic run on the national stage.
